Keto Diet Weight Loss Update Week 50 – Gained But I Expected It

I knew that after last weeks weigh in that, I would be putting weight on this week. That was because last weeks weigh in was on the 4th day of a 4 day extended water fast.

I weighed in at 207.4 last week, and this week my weight was all over the place. 2 days after the fast it was at 211.8 then 2 days later I was back down to 207.6. Then I went back up and over 210. It finally settled in at 209.6 on my official weigh in day.

This meant I gained 2.2 lbs for the week which might seem bad on the surface. But going back to two weeks ago, I weighed 213.4, so I lost 3.8 lbs in 2 weeks.

That's almost a two pound loss each of the last two weeks. That's also just about what I've averaged over the past year on the ketogenic diet. I've very happy with that considering most experts will tell you that you can lose 1 - 1.5 lbs of fat a week.

One thing that I struggled with this week was eating out too much. I went out to eat 4 times this week which is not normal for me. Normally, I try only to eat out once a week. Twice at the most.
